Vista Cova announces the addition of Jennifer Lipsey to its team of Strategy Advisors

Hailing from a background of marriage and family therapy, Jen’s trajectory into the association sphere is unique. She moved from direct provider of individual, couple, and group therapies to the association side supporting the certification, membership, program standards, and professional development of industry providers. Jen has served in a variety of association positions ranging from Membership & Database Manager, Certification Manager, Director of Operations, to CEO. Each role has provided her with a breadth and depth of experience with association programs and services. As a CEO she combined her institutional wisdom with necessary, intentional change – valuing organizational legacy while innovative new programs were launched and stagnant ones were ended.

Jen’s core principles of active listening, attunement, and reflective practice bolster leadership efforts to identify key resources and ideas to reach new strategic heights. Her innate interest in systems and operations yields organized action plans designed to engage specific stakeholders in delivery of key organizational strategies. Jen learns where each association is, wants to be, and co-designs how to get there, with whom, and by when.

Jen volunteers at her daughters’ elementary school and has a B.A. in Child & Family Development from San Diego State University and applies principles of reflective practice and systemic thinking gained from her M.A. in Marriage & Family Therapy to reinforce or expand how others approach strategy, decision-making and change management. Jen resides in Virginia where she embraces the silliness, grit, wonder and awe that comes with raising her 10- and 7-year-old daughters.

Her keen attention to detail, thoughtful curiosity, and systems perspective will be put to use as she reports on trends and observations through Vista Cova blogs, articles, and other thought-leadership to contribute to the evolution of association best-practices. We are delighted to welcome Jen aboard to support associations as they develop new visions, innovative solutions, and plan for the years ahead.
